The California Women’s Retreat is an interdenominational Christian gathering for women, founded by Oralyn Denison. The first Retreat was held in 1981 and continues to this day. The event was organized to provide an opportunity for women to step back from their busy lives and be renewed by inspiring messages from outstanding Christian speakers, and to rededicate themselves to living under God’s authority in their homes and communities. California Women’s Retreat creates a place for women to grow in fellowship with others and in their personal relationship with the Triune God and Jesus Christ.
What Makes CWR an Incredible Place to Renew Your Spirit?
CWR strives to provide a spiritual ‘spa’weekend to immerse you in a profound awareness of God’s extravagant love. The luxurious San Ramon Marriott hotel venue sparkles with beautiful backdrops, comfortable rooms and plenty of opportunities to chat with fellow sisters in Christ. Throughout the weekend you will enjoy staying with the same group of ten ladies, but different table assignments provide fresh perspectives as the program unfolds.
Nationally respected Christian speakers mentor our women in their walk with Christ and opportunities abound for prayer. Place your prayer requests in the basket and rest in the knowledge that each and every one will be prayed over by the prayer team. A prayer room, a highlight of the retreat, is an ongoing place of solace and encouragement, staffed by women who’ve overcome difficult circumstances and are eager to mentor.
And who wouldn’t enjoy the wonderful chef-prepared food served by the gracious and attentive Marriott staff? The pampering continues after the sessions with Hospitality Suites where you can come meet a new friend, play a game, or get involved in a deep discussion! Saturday afternoon gives you the opportunity to visit the on-site Lighthouse Bookstore, enjoy Zumba or a water aerobics class in the fabulous Marriott pool.
California Women’s Retreat addresses the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of today’s women. Join us, and revel in the Good News of God’s astounding grace.
